"The original artwork took 2 years to complete, with a lot of time in incubation. This was the first time using this brighter palette of deep ultramarine blue, aqua, lilac, soft pinks and pops of tangerine, which inspired a series of smaller works. It felt cosmic and otherworldly, as if being guided through a portal to another dimension. I had to be patient with this piece and let it come to form in its own time. It was worth the wait."
